Dark & Nutty Fudge Brownie

I am really obsessed about that ultimate dark pleasure... yes I am a dark chocolate-addict. Just can't have enough of it! Can't resist! But this time, I am not feeling that much guilty having it. Yeah..never thought that I will get more than 1000 supports on my Facebook page! I am so very happy that couldn't help but getting spoilt!

I love dark moist bitter-sweet nutty brownies. Also they are really easy to make and doesn't take much time. So it is good for a odd-time dessert-craving!

 Ingredients for "Dark & Nutty Fudge Brownie":

For Brownie: 

  1. All purpose flour 1/2 cup
  2. Unsweetened cocoa powder 6 table spoon
  3. Instant coffee 2 tea spoon 
  4. Hot water 2 table spoon
  5. Pecans /walnut 1 cup (I used pecans)
  6. Light brown sugar 1 cup
  7. Egg 2 large (room temperature)
  8. Unsalted butter 3/4 cup (room temperature)
  9. Salt 1/4 tea spoon
  10. Baking powder 1/2 tea spoon
  11. Vanilla extract 1 tea spoon
For Frosting:
  1. Bitter sweet chocolate 100 gm (I used Lindt dark with 90% cocoa)
  2. Unsalted butter 1 and 1/2 table spoon
  3. Heavy cream 1 table spoon

How to prepare "Dark & Nutty Fudge Brownie":
  • Arrange baking paper in a 175*175 (mm) square shape baking pan.
  • Preheat your oven to 170 'C.
  • Shift all purpose flour, salt and baking powder in a bowl.
  • Mix coffee with hot water and divide it.
  • Beat 2 eggs lightly in a bowl.
  • Whisk butter with cocoa powder. Add sugar and whisk to light and fluffy.
  • Add half of the coffee to the mixture. Add vanilla extract. Mix well.
  • Add eggs to the mixture. Mix it well. 
  • Fold in nuts. 
  • Add flour. Fold and mix very well.
  • Pour the batter into baking pan.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes. It took 20 minutes for me. 
  • Let it cool down for 10 minutes.
  • Now make the frosting. Arrange a chocolate pieces in a metal bowl over a pot of shimmering water. (Keep an eye that the bottom of bowl doesn't touch the water). Stir it wit a rubber spatula until chocolate is melted. Take out the bowl from heat. Stir in butter.
  • Add cream mix it well until shiny and fluffy. Add remaining coffee. Mix again.
  • Spread it over your brownie. Let it cool down completely. 
  • I kept it in fridge for 10 minutes before cutting it in piece. 
  • It will make 9 pieces brownies.
