Chicken Popcorn

I love "chicken popcorn" from MacDonald. Absolutely crunchy outside and juicy inside. This can be a very good snack for a fun-filled friday evening. So thought to try this friday with my imagination and recipe..It came out as  good as Mc D's chicken popcorns  :D

  1. Boneless and skin less chicken strips 200 gm (cut into bite size pieces washed and pat dried)
  2. All purpose flour 4 table spoon
  3. Corn flour 4 table spoon
  4. Garlic powder 1 tea spoon
  5. Onion powder 1 tea spoon
  6. Freshly crushed black pepper 1 tea spoon
  7. Salt as required
  8. lime juice 1 table spoon
  9. Egg 2 piece (lightly beaten)
  10. Bread crumb (as required for coating)
  11. Vegetable oil ( enough for deep frying)
  • Marinate chicken with salt and lime juice for 30 minutes.
  • Make a mixture of all purpose flour, cornflour, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper and little bit salt.
  • Roll chicken pieces on flour mixture.
  • Dip the chicken pieces in beaten egg and roll them on bread crumb.
  • Repeat the same process..dip the bread crumb rolled chicken pieces in beaten egg and roll them again on bread crumb.
  • Dip fry the chicken pieces in nice golden colour.
  • Serve with your favourite sauce.
